If you are looking to find a replacement light bulb, chances are you fill find a “Lighting Facts Label” on the box. This is like nutrition facts label, only with lighting terms. Light Output / Lumens – Measures light output. The higher the number, the more light is emitted.

Watts – Measures the energy required to light the product (LEDs don’t refer to watts for brightness any longer, refer back to lumen output)

Lumens Per Watt – The higher the number, the more efficient the product (look for products 70-120 LPW)

CRI – Measures color accuracy (outdoors or natural sunlight is 100 CRI) Look for CRI with 80+

CCT – Measures Light Color. Cool temperatures are 3600K-5500K (found in commercial applications) and warm temperatures 2700k – 3500K (residential applications)
